It was a difficult night for Los Angeles own LA Galaxy. Thank you for coming to LA Crosstown Rivals for the latest LA pro sports standings and scores. This is Candor Andres humbly reporting LA soccer for you. LAFC continues to dominate the crosstown rivalry tonight. We’ll see how their game plays out soon!

Christian Benteke strikes again, but this time it’s in favor of D.C. United as they secure a convincing 3-0 victory over the LA Galaxy on Saturday night.

Substitute Cristian Dajome, who recently joined D.C. in a trade from Vancouver, wastes no time making an impact by finding the back of the net for the first time in his new colors.

Mateusz Klich adds to the tally, scoring his second goal of the season, marking D.C.’s largest margin of victory over the Galaxy since that memorable 4-1 home win in June 2008.

Tyler Miller deserves immense praise for his outstanding performance between the posts, making six crucial saves to earn his second consecutive clean sheet and fifth overall this season.

Under the guidance of manager Wayne Rooney, D.C. United has undergone a defensive transformation. After conceding a league-worst 71 goals last season, they have tightened up significantly, allowing just 16 goals in the first 14 games of the campaign.

However, it was a challenging night for the LA Galaxy, as they suffered their second consecutive defeat and fourth straight loss on the road. Manager Gregg Vanney’s squad has faced difficulties finding the back of the net, managing to score just one goal in their first seven away games.

Despite the Galaxy’s valiant effort, they couldn’t contain Benteke. In the 71st minute, he broke the deadlock with a composed finish after a costly mistake from LA goalkeeper Jonathan Bond. Benteke capitalized on the opportunity, making the most of the loose ball in the penalty area.

But Benteke wasn’t finished there! Just two minutes later, he turned provider, showcasing his vision and skill. Expertly chesting the ball down, he set up Dajome for a clinical finish. LA’s defense failed to clear their lines, allowing Benteke’s clever pass to find Dajome, who confidently found the back of the net.

To add to LA’s woes, Klich further extended D.C.’s lead in the 80th minute. Bond’s mistake presented Klich with an opportunity, and he made no mistake, burying the spilled cross from close range.

It’s a commanding victory for D.C. United, demonstrating their strength and leaving the LA Galaxy searching for answers. The Galaxy must regroup and find a way to reignite their attack if they are to turn their season around.

And that’s the final whistle! D.C. United 3, LA Galaxy 0. A memorable night for D.C. and a challenging one for the Galaxy. Until next time, this is Candor Andres signing off!

Goooaaallll! What a thrilling match we witnessed at the Banc of California Stadium as Los Angeles Football Club, the pride of the Western Conference, took on the San Jose Earthquakes and emerged victorious with a score of 2-1! From the get-go, it was clear that LAFC meant business.

In the third minute, Stipe Biuk wasted no time and found the back of the net with a powerful strike, sending the crowd into a frenzy. The home team’s dominance continued as they created chances and controlled the game.

San Jose, however, managed to level the playing field when Miguel Trauco scored in the 52nd minute, making it anyone’s game. But LAFC had other plans. They pressed forward relentlessly, seeking that crucial winning goal.

And the opportunity presented itself in the dying moments of the game. San Jose’s Tanner Beason was penalized for a handball, and the referee pointed to the spot. It was the chance LAFC needed to seal the victory, and who better to step up than the talismanic Carlos Vela?

In the 95th minute, Vela calmly approached the penalty spot, his left foot poised for greatness. With nerves of steel, he struck the ball with precision, placing it beautifully into the bottom right corner, leaving the goalkeeper rooted to the spot. The stadium erupted with joy as Vela celebrated his fourth goal of the season.

The difference was made, the victory secured. LAFC’s unbeaten streak continues, and they have claimed their fourth win in the last seven games. The fans couldn’t be happier as they witnessed another thrilling performance by their beloved team.

Credit must also be given to the Earthquakes’ goalkeeper, JT Marcinkowski, who made five impressive saves, keeping his team in the game despite the result. San Jose fought hard and managed 14 shots, but LAFC’s defense held strong, allowing only three shots on target.

Possession was dominated by the Black and Gold, with 56.5 percent in their favor. They showcased their attacking prowess with 15 corners, showcasing their intent to dominate every aspect of the game.

LAFC’s victory sets the stage for their upcoming clash against Atlanta United on June 3, as they aim to continue their winning streak on home turf. The Banc of California Stadium will be buzzing once again, as the supporters eagerly await another enthralling display of football from their beloved team.

But before that, a match that will get all of Southern California riled up. They will go crazy! LAFC, now in first place, takes on LA Galaxy, now in last place. Both teams are titans of the football pitch, but Galaxy’s recent slump will have the black and gold going off in Carson. We pray both teams supporters will be civil and exhibit sportsmanlike behavior. Let’s have some fun with the LA crosstown rivals playing in easy reach of each other. It should be a fun match and keep in mind, both teams have surprised us both ways. Let’s have some fun, Southern California soccer fans!

And that’s a wrap from the Banc of California Stadium, where LAFC showed their indomitable spirit and emerged triumphant. Until next time, this is Candor Andres signing off!

There’s no other way to put this, my Los Angelino Futbol friends. The Galaxy are struggling.

It was an exciting game game we witnessed at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Park! The Colorado Rapids showcased their dominant form against the Los Angeles Galaxy, extending their unbeaten streak to an impressive seven games. It was a night of redemption for Kevin Cabral, who faced his former team with determination and found the back of the net in the 65th minute. Cabral, known for his speed, finally showcased his true potential and proved his worth to the Rapids.

The Rapids took an early lead in the 14th minute through Lalas Abubakar, who rose above the defense and headed home a corner kick from Connor Ronan. Los Angeles goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann had no answer to Abubakar’s precise header, and it marked Abubakar’s first goal of the season.

Despite the Galaxy’s efforts to level the playing field, the Rapids struck again on the counterattack. Diego Rubio and Cabral displayed great chemistry, breaking through the Galaxy’s defense and allowing Cabral to net his second goal of the season. It was a bittersweet moment for Cabral, who hadn’t quite lived up to expectations during his tenure with the Galaxy.

Jonathan Lewis sealed the victory for the Rapids in the 81st minute with a powerful shot that ricocheted off Klinsmann’s knee and into the net. The goal marked Lewis’ first of the season and added to the Galaxy’s frustration.

Although the Galaxy managed to salvage some pride with Preston Judd’s late goal in the 89th minute, it was not enough to prevent the Rapids from claiming a well-deserved victory. Goalkeeper William Yarbrough made crucial saves throughout the match but was denied a clean sheet by Judd’s late strike.

The Galaxy welcomed back Riqui Puig to the lineup after his absence in the previous match, and they dominated possession with 63.5% of the game. However, their efforts couldn’t match the Rapids’ clinical finishing and solid defensive performance.

The Rapids’ triumph not only ends their winless streak but also showcases their strength and resilience. With this impressive victory, they have set a new tone for the remainder of the season and established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in Major League Soccer.

Oh, what a disappointing result for Los Angeles FC at Levi’s Stadium! The San Jose Earthquakes, led by the remarkable Cristian Espinoza, handed LAFC their first loss of the season in a thrilling encounter. Espinoza, who was named the league’s Player of the Month for April, continued his stellar form by netting two crucial goals.

The opening goal came early in the eighth minute when Espinoza capitalized on exquisite passing from Jackson Yueill, Cade Cowell, Jeremy Ebobisse, and Jamiro Monteiro. Monteiro’s well-placed pass found Espinoza, who expertly finished the chance to claim his seventh goal of the season.

LAFC fought back through Denis Bouanga, who has been a standout performer and an early-season MVP candidate. Bouanga was in the right place at the right time to convert a rebounded shot from Mateusz Bogusz, bringing LAFC back into the game with his 14th goal of the season across all competitions.

However, the turning point came in the 81st minute when Jeremy Ebobisse drew a crucial foul in the box against Denil Maldonado of LAFC. This set the stage for Espinoza to step up and convert the penalty, securing the victory for the Earthquakes.

LAFC had been the last undefeated team in MLS this season, but their remarkable run came to an end against a determined San Jose side. The defending MLS Cup champions have faced a challenging schedule due to their success in the Concacaf Champions League, leading to the postponement of their regular-season match against the Houston Dynamo.

While LAFC has showcased their prowess in the Concacaf Champions League, reaching the final to be held at the end of May, their focus on the tournament has disrupted their MLS campaign. Goalkeeper J.T. Marcinkowski displayed his skills with six saves to deny LAFC on multiple occasions, while the Earthquakes made the most of their limited opportunities to secure the win.

It’s worth noting that the home team has emerged victorious in each of the last six encounters between these two teams. The Earthquakes can certainly celebrate this victory, but LAFC will be eager to bounce back and regain their winning form as they strive for success in both the league and the upcoming Concacaf Champions League final. GO LAFC!

Ladies and gentlemen, what a night it was at the Orlando City vs. LA Galaxy match! Thank you for coming to your source for LA pro sports standings and scores, LAXtownRivals.com!

In a rainy showdown, Orlando City managed to secure a 2-0 victory over our beloved LA Galaxy. It’s disappointing, no doubt, but credit must be given where it’s due. Orlando City put on quite a performance.

Ercan Kara, with his slick skills, produced a fantastic goal in the box, thanks to Michael Halliday’s assist. It was a moment of brilliance that put Orlando City ahead in the 38th minute. Kara’s first goal of the season, mind you. He was exceptional last year, and it seems he’s continuing his form.

But wait, there’s more! Facundo Torres, making his mark, scored the second goal in the 57th minute. The play began with Kara’s involvement near midfield, and Martin Ojeda took off with the ball, delivering a pass to Torres. Our goalkeeper, Jonathan Klinsmann, made an effort, but alas, the goal stood.

I have to admit, it was a challenging night for our Galaxy. We struggled to find the back of the net, with just one shot on goal in the first half. But we’ll regroup and come back stronger, as true champions do.

Though the result didn’t go in our favor, we must acknowledge Pedro Gallese’s achievement as he became Orlando City’s all-time leader in games played by a goalkeeper. Congratulations to Gallese, but let’s hope for better outcomes in the future.

There you have it, folks. A tough loss for the LA Galaxy, but Orlando City displayed their prowess and deserved the victory. For Galaxy fans, it’s disappointing, but they will bounce back. The beautiful game never ceases to surprise us, and there’s always another match to look forward to.

It was a battle to remember at Subaru Park as the defending MLS champions LAFC went head-to-head with the Philadelphia Union in the CONCACAF Champions League semifinal. The first half was heated with both teams pushing hard but remained goalless.

However, it was a much more end-to-end second half with LAFC’s Denis Bouanga getting close to a goal before Daniel Gazdag netted a late penalty to put the Union in front.

But LAFC’s Kellyn Acosta redeemed himself after a handball call, scoring an unlikely but BEAUTIFUL equalizer in stoppage time to secure an away goal and a slight advantage in the tie after the first leg. The decisive second leg will be hosted by LAFC at BMO Stadium here in Los Angeles on May 2, with the winner taking on the victor of the other semifinal between Tigres and Leon.

I don’t know what’s going on with Galaxy this year. Where are they? I don’t know.
